The Retractable Oxygen Hose System is a one of a kind product that allows more freedom for patients that use oxygen in their daily lives.
The Retractable Oxygen Hose System is a new idea that will allow a patient that uses added oxygen, the ability to move around more freely and safely. The unique feature of this product is the retractable oxygen hose which is housed inside of the dome shaped device. The patient’s oxygen concentrator will connect to the device, supplying oxygen to the patient through the retractable tubing.
The product will have rubber feet that secure it in place when on any surface and a movable top portion. The top portion will move in a 360 degree motion separate from the bottom portion. The tubing will move in and out of an opening that is lined with ball bearings. As the patient moves around the room, the opening would follow them and allow them to pull the tubing out farther as they walk. They will also be able to reel the tubing inward as needed to prevent them from tripping on the long tubing. The product will have bumpers that keep the tubing motion in one direction so the tubing inside would not tangle. The retractable hose portion would connect directly to the patient and can be set in place at any position allowing ease of use.

The inventor, Kathryn Chesney had an idea for a better, safer way for patients to use their oxygen. She has worked in the healthcare industry for many years and has seen firsthand the need for this great new product.
Kathryn had a provisional patent application filed. She had the invention designed properly so that she may see success with this great idea and turn it into a real product. She is actively seeking a company that would have an interest in licensing the product for a royalty.
A provisional patent application has been filed as of January, 2014. The Patent Search was performed and it revealed nothing similar and that a granted patent could be obtained because of the unique design and functionality of the device as compared to other known devices.
